Summer Light Photo Studio Mixer in NY

Join us on Sunday, August 30, from 10AM - 1PM for a summer afternoon photo mixer - a creative meet-up bringing photographers, models, and visual storytellers together.

Whether you're a photographer, model, or content creator, this is a great way to create fresh seasonal content, build your portfolio, meet other local creatives, and try out our studios at a fraction of the regular rental cost.

Studios open during the event

• LIC 1 - Cyc Wall: Large Daylight photo studio for rent with corner cyc-wall, west-facing windows, lots of natural light, & white floors

• LIC 6 - Flower Wall: Morning light studio with flower wall & exposed block wall

• LIC 7 - Moroccan Tile: A large Loft-like photo studio in NY with Moroccan tile, textured yellow wall & a window high podium and bathtub

• Models: $20
• Discounted Duo (1 photographer + 1 model): $40
• Discounted Trio (any combination of 3 people): $55

Who this is for

Open to all creatives — photographers, videographers, models, actors, HMUAs, dancers, brands, stylists, designers, producers, and anyone building a portfolio or looking for fresh content. If you've been meaning to book studio time, try a new collaboration, or meet the NYC creative community, this is the way to do it for a fraction of the regular studio rate.

How it works

This is a collaborative group mixer. Please share the space respectfully and work together creatively.

A few things to know going in:

• Studios are shared. Please rotate between the studios so everyone gets time.
• Models and photographers are not provided or guaranteed. You may bring your own team or collaborate with creatives you meet at the event. FD provides the space and available lighting and grip equipment.
• Photo participation. By default, attendees may photograph and be photographed.
• Model releases or commercial agreements are handled directly between participants. FD provides the space but does not mediate individual arrangements.

Attendees are responsible for their own equipment, personal items, and personal safety during the event. Our host will be on-site throughout to help with anything you need.

Rain or shine, the creativity continues! With professional lighting, equipment, and a variety of setups available, there will be endless opportunities to create stunning content regardless of the weather.
