Join us on Friday, October 2nd, from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM for a high-energy Cosplay Photography Mixer at FD Photo Studios, Brooklyn Metro.

We’re opening three completely different studios so you can shoot your character in multiple distinct worlds in one evening:

Metro 1 – The Neon Garage
Vibrant RGB tunnel with glowing walls and a real motorcycle. Perfect for cyberpunk, techwear, villains, anime, and high-energy action shots.

Metro 2 – The Street Scene
Mirror walls + RGB ceiling for dynamic reflections and dramatic urban lighting. Ideal for gritty, cinematic, and storytelling cosplay.

Metro 5 – The Rain Stage
Black cyc wall with real rain effects. Perfect for moody, emotional, film-like character moments and slow-motion shots.

Whether you’re a cosplayer who wants to finally get the shots your character deserves, a photographer looking for unique environments and strong portfolio pieces, or a creative team wanting fresh content, this event is designed for you.

Who this is for

Open to heroes, villains, and everything in between… cosplayers, photographers, videographers, models, actors, HMUAs, dancers, brands, stylists, designers, producers, and anyone building a portfolio or looking for fresh content. If you've been meaning to book studio time, try a new collaboration, or meet the NYC creative community, this is the way to do it.

Cosplay is strongly encouraged (but not required). Bring your own costumes or collaborate with others on-site.

How it works

This is a collaborative group mixer. Please share the space respectfully and work together creatively.

A few things to know going in:

• Studios are shared. Please rotate between the studios so everyone gets time.
• Models and photographers are not provided or guaranteed. You may bring your own team or collaborate with creatives you meet at the event. FD provides the space and available lighting, and grip equipment.
• Photo participation. By default, attendees may photograph and be photographed.
• Model releases or commercial agreements are handled directly between participants. FD provides the space but does not mediate individual arrangements.
• Attendees are responsible for their own equipment, personal items, and personal safety during the event. Our host will be on-site throughout to help with anything you need.
• For RGB Studio (#1): Do not lean against the RGB wall lights. Keep the motorcycle in an upright position.
• For Rain Studio (#5): Watch your step on the wet floor.
• Towels are available for $10 on site.

**Early entry for getting ready is available for an additional $10 and can be purchased through Eventbrite or paid in person via cash/Venmo. If you arrive between 5:00–5:45 PM and would like access to the studios, this fee will apply. Makeup stations and changing rooms are provided.

Attendees are responsible for their own equipment, personal items, and personal safety during the event. Our host will be on-site throughout to help with anything you need.
