These are some of the photos i took at the rain room in hr studio. I was looking to create a moody shot of my mode with the multi effect of the rain and background color which was amazing to find at ur studio.

Jenna Maslechko is a photographer, videographer, motion graphics designer, and digital content creator based in New York City. She is a graduate of New York University at the Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Photography & Imaging and a Minor in Digital Art & Design (2017).

As a lifelong dancer, Jenna’s artistic intuition and understanding of music and form enhance her ability to capture movement in-the-moment and to film and edit videos with the eye of a choreographer and storyteller. She has worked freelance as a photographer and videographer (Jayna Photography) across North America for various dancers, choreographers, brands and media agencies.

NYC Studio 7 also known as moroccan style stage, offers few unique features: conveniently installed by the window in our New York Studio 7 this shower setup opens up possibilities for your photography that were “drying up” before! My name is Angel Tirado and I shot at FD LIC a couple of years ago. I’m a NYC based artist working pronominally in Photography, videography, and screen printing. My subject in this shoot at FD was Rhiannon a professional dancer whom which I’ve shot three other times before. Her and I are building work together and I’m grateful for her lending her time to me and trusting my vision.

With additionally embellished exposed brick and concrete walls, this stage is perfect for a rustic, industrial look. I’ve used FD Photo Studio before but this was the first time that I shot 1:1 as opposed to shooting with other photographers. I learned so much thanks to your facilities. I had such a great time that I will return on the 9th of November with another model. Your staff and overall service are second to none.

The stage:

Studio Hill 1 has a few distinct features you will not find in any other stages. Facing the west side this stage gets lots of natural light in the afternoon and has amazing lighting conditions during the golden hour. Among included props are industrial wooden table with benches, two antique green chairs and white leather comfy chair. And the bed. The bed that comes with clean sheets (fees apply) and photogenic look, ready for always anticipated, the “bed scene” Besides, Hill 1 comes equipped with black, white and grey backdrops already installed and three strobe lights included in the hourly rate. Stage C was a choice of this creative collective for several reasons. Besides a tremendous space capacity perfect for both, large crews and small teams this stage provides a white CYC wall that is always freshly painted for each client. In addition to the prop count, a grass wall and a wood floor corned section installed for your creative exploration. Become Better Photographer: No Makeup Headshots with Vanessa Joy

Today we are learning new techniques of shooting portraits/beauty shots in a studio environment, with the help of strobe light and a 5-in-1 reflector. Awesome photographer from New York, the AdoramaTV ambassador Vanessa Joy with share her tips on the topic.

Vanessa shares: “I’ve got the Canon 1dx mark 3. I’m using the new 70 to 200 lens and we have a pro photo trigger and 3 Pro photo lights. Lastly we’ve got a lovely reflector – this is the adorama 5 in 1 42 inch glow reflector. You want to start with a dark frame so that you know that only the light that you’re using in the studio are what is affecting your shot. Go into TTL and just take a picture and start adjusting from there.”

“Right now we’ve got a really nice clean background and I like to turn on my highlight alert so that I can tell that the background is completely completely white. So that’s our starting point. Now let me show you what it looks like with different things happening as far as reflectors underneath. This is important for filling in a face. Let’s do no reflect there first.”

“So with no reflector you can see that we can see eye circles. We’ve got kind of a dramatic shadow happening underneath her neck. If she has any skin texture it’s going to show that off a little bit more. So we’re gonna throw in a reflector to hide these things.”

“Let’s start with a white reflector first. You want to get it as nice and close as you can not only to her but also to this light. I like using the modeling light so you can see that it’s bouncing off.”

“Now you can see the shadows starting to fill in we can see and we have a little bit of a shadow underneath her chin which I actually like. And I like that I can see her cheekbones. Let me show you what it looks like with silver.”

“Now with a shot like this you’ve got pretty much no shadow at all. I kind of like the way it looks – it’s nice and clean. Maybe I want to see a little bit more next shadow just to separate her face from her neck, and the tones between the two. To do that we can just lower the reflector a little bit.”

“Look at these three pictures side by side and just notice the way that the shadows change depending if there’s no reflector, white reflector or silver. It’s not only about the shadows but it’s all about the way the skin looks – the quality of it, the tonality and filling it in a little bit.”

Become Better Photographer: 7 Cheap Photo Toys with Vanessa Joy

Today we will discuss a few techniques and props that will help elevate your photography by not even buying camera. Photographer Vanessa Joy and AdoramaTV are bringing 7 small cool toys that will bring new flavors into your photography.

Vanessa explains: “I’ve got literally a bag of tricks here for us it’s all inexpensive and things you might even have around your house. I do like using a mirrorless camera for this because it gives me a better idea of what it looks like as I’m shooting. Let’s just get a basic exposure. I might switch to my 15 millimeter lens.”

“we’re just going to put this in front you can see it creates a really nice reflection depending where you hold it or you can use some of the colors so that is number one and depending on where you put it in your lens you can do some pretty interesting reflections.”

“These are not just regular beads are kind of crystallized so they’re not totally opaque which is gonna add some really fun color”

“You can take your flashlight and shine it right in and create really fun haze. I’m gonna change my lens again back to my one point two because that will create a little bit more of a haze.”

“When you use this technique ideally you have a streak of sunlight to work with something that’s actually that bright we don’t have that so what I’ve got is a pro flash light.”

If you have trouble packing your wires, chargers and extension cables, then you are in luck! Our beloved New Yorker – photographer David Bergman with his show on AdoramaTV will share his tips and tricks on how to pack those entangled bastards.

David Bergman “I live in New York City but travel quite a bit both domestically and internationally. The problem now is every piece of equipment takes a different battery charger, and it drives us crazy! If I go on the road with a Canon 1DX MkII a 5D Mk IV, a flash, and a phone, that’s four different chargers that I have to bring with me. There’s not much I can do about all those different chargers, but there’s a few other things I do to minimize the pain.”

“I pack all of them in the smallest bag possible because everything’s together and I don’t lose any little pieces when I’m on the road but I’m sure this has happened to you. You get to a hotel room and there’s only one or two accessible power outlets, all the rest of them seem to be behind furniture, and you don’t want to move the bed around, so what I do is I travel with a power strip either a full-size one, or a small travel one, that has a USB port and then I can plug everything into that and just have one plug into the wall, and have everything powered up and ready to go.”

“Also if I’m traveling internationally I like to use universal plug adapters, but I don’t have to carry around a whole extra bag of different plugs. The challenge is that if I put one of those on every charger it’s going to get unnecessarily bulky and expensive really quickly. So I can use that same power strip, and just put one adapter on the end and then use all my American plugs just like normal, so be prepared and organized.”
