Robert Tate, Kate Compton & Agent Provocateur

Photographer Robert Tate, our frequent client and a star of FD blog section, walked into stage Art 3 to shoot a series of sexual, provocative pictures with the model Kate Compton. It was not a coincidence that Robert has a particular choice of the stage in mind.

“We were looking to so something simple fashion editorial vibe as well as something more on the advertising side. The entire wardrobe was Agent Provocateur so we went with that edgy/classic vibe for the ad look using the great props in Art 3.”

Stage Art 3 is truly one of the pearls of our studio. Featuring thematic furniture of white and gold color and antique look that beautifully coincides with a rose wall covered completely in red and white flowers this stage brings both the uniqueness and versatility. As any of other 11 studios we provide this stage is equipped with three paper backdrops of white, black and grey color ready for your shoot. Art 3 has amazing natural lighting conditions. However, if you require the help of the strobe lights, we have 3 of them installed and included in the hourly rate, thus making it as a very flexible creative space. Stage A is a modest sized studio, great for a nice and clean high-key look. A long time favorite of our clients, Stage A gets beautiful direct sunlight in the morning through north and east-facing windows, and beautifully soft indirect light as the day goes on. Thomas Eslinger shoots at Art 4

“Thomas is a portrait and art photographer working out of Los Angeles, California. Growing up in the midwest Thomas was exposed to photography at an early age by his father, who was a professional photographer in Minnesota. Thomas’ passion grew with his travels around the globe, as he found photography to be best way to document his experiences. While studying photography at the University of Iowa, Thomas began to experiment with fashion and portrait photography, which eventually carried him to Los Angeles, where he now lives and works.”

Stage Art 4, used for this shoot, is notorious for the high-key white industrial design. It has also been recently adorned with wooden floor section and a wall veneer as well as portable blinds, made of dark wood slats. With its large windows and stunning wooden floors, this studio creates a mesmerizing setting for your photo shoot. As the sunlight streams through the windows, it dances upon Tanya Mityushina, a radiant and captivating model, while photographer Anna Gunselman artfully captures her beauty and grace. The interplay between the natural light, the polished wooden floor, and Tanya’s talent produce breathtaking photographs. The Sports Illustrated star, Tanya Mityushina directed by Anna Gunselman has beautified our stage Art 2 with her flawless, luxurious looks.

Photographer Zuzanna Gerulewicz has brought her sister along with MUA, Lee Grubs to play a bit with some glitter make-up, materials and fog. What turned out to be is a fun and productive time! Zuzanna’s story is an adventure itself:

“As a European Native, I had been exposed to a slightly different culture than the one of United States. Born & raised in Warsaw, Poland, the land of rain and pickles, I spent my first 2 decades surrounded by old bricks, cold weather and best pierogi the world have ever tasted. Eventually, fueled by the need of change, I landed in California to pursue my education in photography. What interests me most are people and extraordinary mediocrity. In art, I value creativity, composition, mood and style. I strive for exploration of these aspects and their strong stand on my set. Photography was a reason for me to leave my motherland environment and I truly needed this change to come to realize how strong my roots, and my ethnical background really are. Ironically, the style of my work derives from that of my heritage which I left behind few years ago. I guess some things are just in your veins. My pictures are cloudy with a chance of pickles.”
