Jean Celeste: Dance Photography

Jean Celeste was in Stage C shooting some beautiful dance images. The team blessed the space by creating some amazing, very natural and ethereal photos. Jean is a freelance Los Angeles-based dance photographer who believes that life’s beautiful moments are fleeting, and that capturing them in a photograph brings lasting joy. “I seek to capture that once-in-a-lifetime moment to cherish.” As a former professional ballerina in New York, then Parisian fashion model, and current ballet teacher and coach, Jean brings a unique perspective to her work and understands both sides of the camera. “I strive to capture the unique beauty and essence of each dancer.” She adds, “I was so impressed with Studio C and the variety of choices in backgrounds, as well as the wall of windows. The north end of the room features a large 19 foot cyc wall, and the south side of the studio is equipped with standard backdrop paper. The east wall boasts large windows that allow for amazing natural light, and we are capable of blocking off the windows depending on the project’s needs. Athens: New Renaissance Magazine

Athens: New Renaissance Magazine was in the studio with actor Keith Stanfield shooting the cover story for their Spring 2015 issue. Here’s a little bit about the publication: “Athens: New Renaissance Magazine is an online publication with a lifestyle focus. Beginning in 2011 Athens has operated focusing much of their articles and editorials on influential brands and artists who find resonation in genuity, hard work and signature existence. BTS: Live Tiger at FD Photo Studio!

Last month, a shoot at FD Photo Studio’s Pro Stage I featured a live tiger! Along with trainers, photographer Layla Love and her crew were able to integrate this majestic, huge animal into their shoot! Although there were some snags with the logistics, particularly the animal’s large cage, handlers were able to leave the enclosure in the freight elevator and lead the trained tiger into Pro Stage I. The shoot went off without a hitch, and we’re all excited to see the final product! See more of Layla’s work on her WEBSITE. Pro Stage I is a huge studio featuring a large CYC wall, photo backdrop paper, and plenty of room for your crew to spread out and set up. Punching Bag Available at FD

We are now offering punching bag rental at FD Photo Studio! Have a fitness project your’e working on, or are you working with athletes? Featured in Stages A and D, you can request the bag along with boxing gloves. Simply ask for the equipment while making your booking online, or when speaking to the staff to confirm your booking. The rate for both bag and gloves is $35 for up to a 4 hour session. Add some extra flare to your shoot without having to carry around a heavy punching bag! Yin/Yang by Cristina Mirzakhanian

Cristina Mirzakhanian was in the studio with her crew making her wonderful concept come to life in these beautiful images. Using Pro Stage I for the shoot, the photographer and her team were able to make some engaging images worthy of holding the viewer’s attention. Here are some informative words from Cristina about the shoot: “The object of my vision was to bring Yin/Yang to physical form. The color of each models hair represents the opposing inner color/circles of the Yin/Yang. I believe everyone of us possesses this concept within us universally. We are all alike.

Shot on March 8th, the yin/yang is also known to have a fish-like shape bringing us right into the zodiacal cycle of Pisces.

I’d like to thank my girlfriend Evelyn and her best-friend Katrina for allowing me to use their connection as a way to bring my vision to life. Thank you to everyone who helped me behind the scenes, I couldn’t of done this without you! FD Studio, your studio was awesome can’t wait to come back!”

The shoot was done in Pro Stage I, one of two studios at our Pro Stage location. Both of these huge studios feature a large CYC wall, as well as photo backdrop paper. L’Officiel Hommes Cover Shoot

Tokio Hotel, German pop rock superstars, were in the studio making a great feature for French fashion magazine L’Officiel Hommes with their creative team and photographer Christian Anwander. They used Pro Stage I for the shoot, and the results are truly inspiring!

Tokio Hotel not only consists of a group of wonderful musicians, but they also serve as fashion forerunners, giving inspiration and lending some of their creativity to the industry. They produced a fantastic behind-the-scenes webisode about their shoot which was featured on their weekly web series Tokio Hotel TV, check it out HERE. The photographer for the shoot was New York based Christian Anwander. His body of work consists of a wealth of creative and forefront images in advertising and editorial photography, and his portfolio is full of big names in the fashion and magazine publication world. Pro Stage I is a huge 2,800 square foot creative space. The facility features a large CYC wall, vanity mirror for hair and makeup, photo backdrops, studio lighting, as well as plenty of space for your crew to work and enjoy the session. There is a fire escape that can be used for your porject, and the stage features central A/C for when the weather heats up. Tokio Hotel Photoshoot at FD Photo Studio

German pop rock super-band Tokio Hotel made an appearance at FD Photo Studio’s Pro Stage I. The internationally acclaimed musicians, along with their team of creatives, put together a fantastic behind-the-scenes video of a shoot done for the cover of French fashion magazine L’Officiel Hommes. The webisode entitled Sexual Problems was created for the group’s weekly YouTube series “Tokio Hotel TV.” It features a great look at what goes on behind the scenes of a major editorial shoot, and you get to see the creative talents involved use their originality to produce several different looks for a fantastic article.
