Street photography works for some shots, but studios give you more options. You control the lighting, set the background and decide when to shoot.

Weather stops being a problem. Delays caused by the rain cost you time and money. Studios let you work year-round without checking forecasts or rescheduling because of snow.

Infinity Room: Photo Studio With RGB Ceiling

Photo and video studio for cars with mirror walls on both sides and RGB ceiling in Brooklyn Metro 2 – Infinity Room. This 1,500-square-foot space has drive-in access through a large loading gate at ground level. Cars and motorcycles drive straight in: no ramps, no tight squeezes.

The mirror walls on both sides create infinity reflections that add depth to your shots. You can cover one side with curtains to control reflections. The RGB ceiling is fully controllable and syncs with music for video shoots.

Infinity Room recently added a black glossy floor, ideal for luxury and sports car photography. The 8-foot ceiling lets you use overhead lighting setups without feeling cramped.

This studio won “Best Photo & Video Studio for Cars” in Peerspace’s Open Door Awards 2024 and 2025.

What’s Included in Metro 2

The RGB ceiling comes with a tablet that makes color control simple. You can set it to a solid color or choose from different color schemes. The colors can sync with music for video shoots, giving you creative flexibility that fixed lighting can’t offer.

You get three Alien Bees B800 strobes already mounted on c-stands with your choice of light modifiers. The package includes wireless triggers, receivers, power cords, sandbags, and a-clamps.

The studio has a makeup station with vanity lights, a full-body mirror, a clothing rack, and a changing area. WiFi is included.

Metro 2 rents for $44.99 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Paper backdrops are available for an additional price.

Metro 1: RGB Tunnel and Walls with Sports Bike

Blackout photo studio with RGB tunnel and walls in Brooklyn Metro 1. This 1,400-square-foot blackout studio has an RGB tunnel and RGB walls that create cyberpunk looks for modern automotive photography.

The studio has drive-in access and comes with an elegant red motorcycle as a prop. The RGB lights are fully controllable, giving you any color combination you need. The blackout design means zero light spill, everything you see comes from lights you control.

Metro 1 works well for sports cars, custom builds, and motorcycle photography. The tunnel effect adds movement and energy to static shots. Rental rates start at $39.99 per hour.

Metro 5: Rain Room with Black Cyc Wall

Car photo studio with large black cyc wall and rain features in Brooklyn Metro 5. This 1,820-square-foot studio combines a black cyclorama wall with rain features for dramatic automotive shots.

The large black cyc wall gives you a seamless backdrop that makes cars stand out. The rain features add atmosphere and motion to your images. You can adjust rain intensity and direction to get the exact effect you want.

This studio has drive-in access and works for both photo and video projects. The rain features run on high-efficiency water systems with heaters to keep the space comfortable. Rental rates start at $49.99 per hour.

Equipment Rental Options Beyond What’s Included

FD Photo Studio rents additional equipment beyond the included strobe lights. GVM video lights are available for $35 per session. These work for both continuous lighting in photos and good lighting for video work.

Paper backdrops are available for an additional price if you need specific colors beyond the studio’s permanent features. Order these in advance for better service.

Tips for Your First Car Photography Studio Session

Arrive 10–15 minutes early to find parking and get familiar with the space. Our self check-in system allows you to access the studio easily.

Clean your vehicle before the shoot. Studios have good lighting that reveals every speck of dust and every fingerprint.

Test your lighting setup before driving the car in. Set up strobes, take test shots with a small object, and adjust positions. This saves time once the vehicle is in position.

Rent enough time for setup and breakdown. A two-hour rental means about 90 minutes of actual shooting time after setup. If you’re new to studio work, add an extra hour to your estimate.
