StageF was used for this team’s creative session. The studio is the smallest space we currently offer for our clients. Yet it is one of the most brightest stages with the tremendous amount of natural light coming from North West. It has gained a nickname – “light box” by some of our regulars and it truly fulfills it at any time of the day from dawn until dusk. This studio also features two section laminate floor of white and dark color for your creative needs. As with any of our stages, Studio F comes with 3 strobe lights already included in the hourly rate and backdrop seamless paper installed. Take a closer look HERE.

Stage Upgrade: Hill 4 turns yellow

Jungle Themed Photo Studio available for rental in Los Angeles

Just as you thought we were done with upgrading Hill 4, things turned 180 and we continued perfecting the stage. Now, the entire corner section by North facing windows is repainted yellow. The whole idea is to complement the theme of the stage – the jungle. Since we already have a tropical green leaf corner in the other section, adding another hallmark color of wild nature made perfect sense. ADDITIONALLY, we placed two cool chairs in there, just to spice things up. Stage Hill 4 is one of our largest and brightest stages. Advantageously positioned with the windows facing west and north, this stage gets plenty of sift indirect sunlight in the first half of the day and lots of direct sunbeams in the second half. Hill 4 is furnished with several comfy and photogenic couches of cream and and golden/brown leather color. “I’m a Sacramento based portrait photographer, originally from the LA area. This shoot was a simple set-up test shoot with a friend of mine, Brooke Preston, who happens to be a current captain of the LA Clippers Spirit Dance Team. Brooke and I wanted to make the most of that gorgeous golden hour before sundown, and we were able to do just that! We really wanted to capture an intimate portrait vibe and keep things simple and clean. Love simplicity! “

Art 2, is one of the busiest stages we currently offer. Equipped with everything you need for a perfect intimate, romantic or empowering style of photoshoot, this stage always leaves our clients excited and hungry for more time. Featuring a dark wood floor platform across the stage and a sexy dark leather lounge chair creates welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. A wall section with the brick veneer adds a flavor of downtown loft New York style. Among these unique features, the stage comes with great equipment – three strobe lights, three backdrops of white, grey and black color, sound system, makeup station and changing station. Stage D is one of the most spacious and most affordable spaces we currently offer. Suitable for both large and small production teams, this stage is on always on a high demand. Lighting conditions are of supreme quality. If working with natural light, towards the sunset the studio gets plenty of great, warm light through large south-west facing frosted windows. What is Los Angeles the most famous for? You’re right. It is famous for its never-ending fascinating Hollywood stories. It is undoubtedly the capital of marvelous fables, blockbusters and horrific fictitious nightmares that chase the world for decades after. Here in LA, we value a good story, whether it is in a form of a movie or comic book, or a photograph. Photographer Ilya Nodia, on the best in a field of storytelling through a single photo, has decided to share his knowledge in a one time workshop called

“How to visualize a story in a single frame!”

Who?

Ilya Nodia is a commercial, advertising and artistic photographer, traveler, storyteller. Check out his WEBSITE and INSTAGRAM for breathtaking images.

What?

In this class, Ilya will recreate a cinematic story using references from a few movie scenes, explain lighting options in details, show his way of working with models on set and share his skills in photoshop post production.

Where and when?

Class will take place at 6pm in the stunning FD Secret Loft where the view upon Downtown LA is simply breathtaking. Tickets are limited since the space is private. You will get the address a day before the class in a separate email.

Why?

Many photographers have perfected their framing and angles, color balance and depth. Yet the composition, or “the story behind the photo” is absent. If you would like to improve your storytelling skill and have your photos “speak out” for themselves, this workshop is for you.

Stage Hill 1 has a few distinct features you will not find in any other stages. Facing the west side this stage gets lots of natural light in the afternoon and has amazing lighting conditions during the golden hour. Among included props are industrial wooden table with benches, two antique green chairs and white leather comfy chair. And the bed. The bed that comes with clean sheets (fees apply) and photogenic look, ready for always anticipated, the “bed scene” Besides, Hill 1 comes equipped with black, white and grey backdrops already installed and three strobe lights included in the hourly rate. Stage C was a choice of this creative collective for several reasons. Besides a tremendous space capacity perfect for both, large crews and small teams this stage provides a white CYC wall that is always freshly painted for each client. In addition to the prop count, a grass wall and a wood floor corned section installed for your creative exploration.
