“What’s Your Signature”

Carla Seals and her creative team were working with clothing line Signature Innovation Group on some illustrative images. They came away with some great photos, and provided us with a glimpse of what’s going on behind the scenes. Carla has this to say about herself: “I’m Wardrobe Stylist Carla Seals, I been styling for over 4 years and it has truly become a passion. When not working on projects others ask me to be a part of, I enjoy creative directing along with the talented Fashion Photographer Danielle Dunn to capture looks like these below. This time around we teamed with owner Jarret Beaudis from clothing line Signature Innovation Group to capture some amazing looks I like to call “What’s Your Signature.” The stylist for the shoot was Carla Seals, and you can contact her HERE. The shooting was done in Stage A, our daylight studio. The space features some large north and east facing windows, and tends to be popular with our natural light shooters. Adrian Ong in Stage A

Adrian Ong and his team made great use of the studio, and they produced some captivating shots with some different moods and looks, using the studio both during the day and at night. The team used Stage A for the shoot. Adrian’s company, Let’s Make a Memory, specializes in events including weddings, birthdays, baptisms, quinceañeras, debuts, and corporate events. More information and additional images can be found on Ong’s photography BLOG. Stage A is an all white day-light studio that measures up to around 850 square feet. The huge north and east facing windows offer great natural light, and an awesome view of downtown Los Angeles. The space is also equipped with studio lighting and seamless paper backdrops. Steven Starr and Kadyn

Photographer Steven Starr and his team were working on a creative and unique project using Stage C. They came out with some very polished images, that will easily put a smile on your face. The creative director on set was Jenifer Toby, connect with her HERE. Styling was provided by Mary Cho, find her on INSTAGRAM. Make-up artist was Jessi D’Ortiz, inquire WITHIN. The model for the shoot was Kadyn. Steven Starr is the photographer responsible for the images. — “Steven Starr is a fashion, beauty, and editorial fashion photographer. Stage C is a giant space with tons of different options available. With a 19 foot cyc-wall, paper back-drops, studio lighting, and huge windows with the capabilities of being blocked off, it’s truly a photographers playground. Contortionist Onisha Moore

Wow! Contortionist Onisha Moore and her team made an amazingly beautiful video in Stage A. Take a couple of minutes out of your day to appreciate this simple, yet amazing project. Costume and choreography for the project was provided by Enkhee T. Smith. Makeup and hair was done by Anita Moore. Stage A, our natural-light studio, features all white walls and huge north and east facing windows. A versatile space that allows the photographer many options for lighting, and is equipped with all the great studio equipment that adorns our other studios. Michael Edwards at FD

Michael Edwards and his team were working on some graceful portraits in Stage B. Here is what he had to say about his studio experience:

“I was very pleased by the service, equipment, and facility of FD Photo Studio! Aside from the competitive rental rates, I had access to all the necessary equipment I needed, and was able to bring my own to the studio with no problems. Alex, the manager of FD Photo Studio at the time, was of great help to me during the shoot and after the shoot. Because I left the studio late and I brought along a lot of equipment, Alex was kind enough to assist me with my equipment to my car. First class service, and good equipment and facility in FD Photo Studio; especially considering the affordable prices. I will definitely consider shooting in FD Photo Studio again!”

Stage B is our recently renovated ‘blackout’ studio. The walls and the ceiling have been painted a deep black, and the windows can be completely blocked off, giving you a space completely free light-interferences. Take a look and see the specs on our WEBSITE.

Donnette Collection

Donnette Collection duo Sarah Tinana and Sasha Vakil were in with their team of creatives to photograph some of their apparel designs. The team regularly shoots in Stage D, and they always come away with clean and lustrous results. A little background on Donnette Collection, “The way we define a Donnette, is the way we define ourselves as women. Our definition of a Donnette is a woman who is strong, sexy, classy, smart, and loyal. We wanted a clothing line to embody all of those things, and that is how Donnette Collection came to be.” More information is available on their WEBSITE or INSTAGRAM!

Hair for the day was done by Stephanie Ida, and makeup by Zoya Mahzar Mirza. The dynamic models for the shoot were Lisa Park, Emily Delgado, and Lana Carine Martinez.

Stage D is a huge studio with west and south facing frosted windows, changing room, and plenty of seating and space. The natural light is beautiful! Stage D also comes with all the necessary studio equipment and backdrops to satisfy your needs. Take a closer look HERE.

Works of Ardy Ala

Ardy Ala is a regular client here at FD Photo Studio, and he does a great job creating some diverse work and making full use of the stages. Here are some photos taken by Ardy during his last couple of visits. Ala is an LA based photographer; and more of his creations, as well as information about his shoots and talent, can be seen on his WEBSITE or via INSTAGRAM.

Studio packages are available in increments of 4 hours, 8 hours, and 12 hours. Something that people are always happy to find out is that you can buy a package, and use it over multiple sessions. Whether you need two six hour sessions, or twelve shoots lasting for one hour, the time can be used however you would like! Ardy shot these photos in Stage A and Stage D! Stage A is a fantastic daylight studio; and Stage D is a HUGE daylight studio with west-facing matte windows, and it also offers the user a great place to shoot with studio lighting.

All White Boudoir by Sydney Noble

Sydney Noble was in making some ethereal and enchanting photographs, and her team also shot a great behind the scenes video showcasing the process and the talent. Her crew made great use of Stage A, and yielded some exciting results.

Mark Velasquez in Stage A

Mark Velasquez shot some beautiful photos of models Courtney McCullough and Rivi Madison in Stage A. He moved around the studio and captured several excellent scenarios.
