Los Angeles’ favorite photo studio with black cyc wall and rain just got even better. The space now features 4 powerful rain modes, including mist, plus an updated rain platform with a black finish and a new reflective black floor for stronger visuals.

Rain Feature Update

Studio Olympic 2 has 4 rain modes, including mist. This means you can control exactly how much water you want in your shot. Need light mist for a dreamy portrait? Done. Want heavy rain for a dramatic dance video? No problem.

The rain system has four modes:

Mist – A soft, gentle mist
Halo – Rain falls in a circular pattern
Tropical Rain – Water falls in defined lanes
Shower – Rain falls straight through the shower head

It’s recommended to use one rain mode at a time for the best water flow.

New Black Polished Floor

Another big update is the new black polished floor. It works like a mirror, creating amazing reflections. When you pair it with the RGB tunnel, the effect is stunning. The shiny floor catches the colored lights and multiplies them, giving you that futuristic look you see in music videos and car commercials.

The floor adds depth to every photo. It doubles the impact of the RGB lights and creates an “infinity” effect. Add rain to the mix, and the reflections get even better. Water flows across the shiny surface, making beautiful patterns of light and movement.

RGB Lighting Setup

The RGB lights above the cyc wall are positioned to make water drops sparkle on camera. This creates that magical effect that makes rain and mist photography look so good.

LED RGB tunnel

Studio Olympic 2 can be connected to Studio Olympic 3 through a large door. This studio has a white cyc wall with overhead RGB lights and car turntable RGB tunnel, Vintage TV Wall. Combined, you get over 3,000 square feet with both black and white cyc walls plus the turntable platform.

Studio Rules & Safety Guidelines

FD Photo Studio is self-check-in, so you’ll have the space all to yourself without staff on site. Give us a heads up if you’re planning to use the rain or mist features, or if you need the floor completely dry when you arrive.

A quick safety note: the floor can get pretty slippery when wet, so please take care when moving around during rain shoots. We recommend bringing towels and robes to stay comfortable between takes.

To keep our floors looking their best, we ask that you avoid wearing sharp heels or bringing metal objects that might scratch the surface. And when setting up on the rain platform, please stick to blue painter’s tape only. All tape should be removed by the end of your shoot.

A few helpful tips: the warm water needs a few minutes to heat up. For the best water pressure and flow, we suggest using one rain mode at a time. And since we’re in a lively area and the studio isn’t fully soundproofed, you might hear some street noise from time to time, .

Finally, please remember to leave the RGB remote in the studio when you’re done so it’s ready for the next artist.
