WHAT IS YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE? WE ASKED 4 PROs, ep.2

“The people who hire me as a wedding photographer hire me not just because of my photographic style,

they hire me because of the style of my personality. My style and personality match, so they know they’re getting a genuine style.”

 Jared Platt

WATCH THE FIRST PART OF 4 PHOTOGRAPHY STYLES HERE .

The view on photography as a craft through the lens of YOUR personality IS  your unique style in the nutshell. And when we hear photographers talk about their style, we can hear the tremble in their voice, awaken by a very unique  topic –  defining yourself through photography.

The full interview is available of YOUTUBE.  For your convenience, here is the transcript of it as well.

Sana Nodelman @sana.nodelman : A trashy fashion. Trashy fashion.

Bekah  Wriedt @bekahwriedt : I would describe my style as clean, with a lot of emotion, I love to create image that makes you feel and makes you really connect to the model and so I would describe it as between powerful and emotional.

Sana Nodelman @sana.nodelman : The catching… catching the real hidden personalities. When people not trying to pretend, when people not trying to be models or trying to be someone else, but actually being themselves. This is my main purpose and I can call my style just the full out there, their real selves into this world. Maybe I sound just a little too much, but it is how it is.

Julia Mindar @juliamindar_photography : I’m really a fan of digital editing so I edit my work a lot. It means I have strong contrast in my work. It looks kind of cartoony. And I’m really, when I try to explain to somebody I didn’t know or didn’t know kind of what my work looks like, it’s what I say. It’s a little bit cartoony but it’s all the colors and contrasts that I add.

Kelly Elaine @kellyelainephoto : My photography style is primarily use of ambient light, with nature backdrops. I really use utilizing the nature in and around the Los Angeles area. I use a lot of subdued colors in my editing and I also include a lot of subjects who are empowered women and just everyday people who are approachable.
