Occasionally, we are graced with the presence of some big names from various industries at FD Photo Studio. Recently, Ian Maddox did photo shoot for actor Thomas Q. Jones, starring in “Runaway Island,” “Straight Outta Compton,” “Being Mary Jane,” and “Born Again Virgin.” The editorial-quality set resulting from the team’s session is striking and quite admirable.

A bit about the athlete and actor: “Thomas Q. Jones is a captivating force on and off the field. While best known as an unstoppable running back that played twelve seasons in the National Football League (NFL), Jones has turned his post-NFL focus to the world of acting in both film and television.
In film, Jones headlines the independent film, “Runaway Island,” alongside Lorraine Toussaint and Aisha Hinds.He filmed“Straight Outta Compton,” the feature film based on the lives and careers of the hip-hop group, N.W.A. In television, Jonesis featured in Seasons 2 and 3 of the BET hit series, “Being Mary Jane,” in a multi-episode arc as “Brandon ‘Cutty Buddy’ Gibson,” love interest to “Mary Jane Paul,” played by award-winning actress, Gabrielle Union. He appeared in such acclaimed series as Showtime’s “Shameless” and IFC’s “ComedyBang! Bang!”
The shoot was done in Stage C, one of our larger studios. This beautiful space boasts a very clean and unique industrial look, and is flooded with natural light from the huge east and south facing windows. Along with standard photo backdrop colors, a large cyc wall, Mola Setti beuty dish, and all of the great gear we provide in all of our studios at FD; it’s a fantastic place to impress your clients and create something astounding.
