Updated February 2026 It is always a pleasure to see the team of industry’s connoisseurs united by an idea to create a top notch product, whether it is a session for trendy magazine cover, or an experimental art project, or, as in this case, e-commerce photo shoot for the clothing line of a newly opened online store, Private Society LA.
E-commerce photography is all about showing products clearly while still making them look good. Keep your lighting even and bright so customers can see fabric details and true colors – shadows and moody lighting work great for editorial but mess up online shopping when people can’t tell what they’re buying. Use a consistent background throughout the whole shoot so when images sit next to each other on a website, everything looks like it belongs to the same brand instead of a random pile of photos.
“Recently I used one of your studios to shoot for my company, Private Society LA, and wanted to thank you for our great experience.Private Society LA is an online woman’s clothing store which launched June 20th. Our website is already live!”
“I’m Toua (pronounced “two-wha”). I’m not much of a writer but if you like looking at pictures then you are at the right place. My journey with photography started with a 1-time use disposable camera from Menards.”
“I’m a visual artist based in the midwest. I carry experience in cross functional fields [such as Art Direction, Graphic Design, Photography, Retouching, Hair/Makeup/Styling, Fine Art Installation] aiming to develop strong ideas and concepts.”Make Sure to visit Peter’s WEBSITE and his INSTAGRAM for your exploration.
Building a crew for a clothing line shoot means finding people who understand commercial work pacing. E-commerce sessions typically move faster than editorial because you’re shooting more pieces in less time – expect to get through 10-15 looks in a session instead of spending an hour perfecting three shots. Your makeup artist should keep styling simple and commercial-friendly, your model needs to transition quickly between outfits, and you need to stay organized with a shot list so nothing gets missed.
