Leading Ladies and Bridesmaids

Conceptual photography is complicated, well though trough yet the most impressing genre. To be able to tell a story behind the still picture is the art that underwent development for as long as humanity exists. From two dimensional depictions of Egyptian rites to contemporary hurdles of Edvard Munch’s time revealed in The Scream,  the story is what excites us the most and teaches us the best. Designer and Event Planner Melanie Embry had another plot in mind, the bridal story. The story behind the shoot:
Your best friends are always the leading ladies in your life and your wedding day is no different. Diana Ross wouldn’t be Diana Ross without the Supremes, and the bride wouldn’t be who she is without her best friends. Asking a friend to be in your Bridal Party is more than just sending a cute box or funny card it’s a celebration of the leading role they play in a soon to be brides life. This shoot will celebrate the bond a group best friends shares with intentional details while paying homage to the leading ladies of decades past.
The concept for the shoot:
The Bride invites her closest girlfriends to a Downtown Soiree. Filled with everything they love Vintage glamour, Jazz music, and girl time! At the party each friend will be asked by the bride to a Leading Lady.

Art 2, one of our clients’ most favorite stages, features a full rustic wood floor, as well as a platform that runs the entire length of the studio’s south side – flush with the windows. There is a wood staircase leading up to the platforms left side. The flooring is real wood throughout, and stained to a nice dark tone. Art 2 also features the same great equipment that adorns all of our studios – black, white, and gray photo backdrops as well as three strobes along with light modifiers. Take a look at Art 2 on our website for availability as well as rates.
