Shooting kids for fashion requires a different approach than working with adult models. You need to move faster because kids lose focus quickly, so having your lighting and camera settings dialed in before they arrive saves time. Natural light works great for children’s portraits because you don’t need to worry about them blinking from strobes, and the soft quality matches the feel most brands want.

Working with a full glam team for kids’ fashion means coordinating timing carefully. The photographer, stylist, and MUA should work together to keep the vibe light and playful so the session feels fun instead of like work. When kids enjoy themselves, that natural energy comes through in the photos.
