There are photographers whose work has remained outstanding many years after their work was discovered. The quality of their work has remained among the best many years after their demise. What made these photographers outstanding in their day? It is the quality of work that they showed the world and the themes that they represented. We can see the color of the world through their work and travel the world through their work. Yes, they are the famous photographers of all the time. These are some of the famous photographers of all time from all over the world. They include: Richard Avedon  Richard Avedon was an American photographer and was a more liberal photographer of his time because he could crossed all photographic genres. He was a confident photographer who had a passion for his work and also lived photography. He was a talented photographer and it is no wonder he became a successful commercial photographer of his time. He was creative and this made him even more distinguished as a photographer. He can be described as a famous photographer of all time. W. Eugene Smith An American photographer who was intense and fanatical photographer describes Eugene. He established the supremacy of black and white printing. Eugene made a chain of photographic essays for life. He simply set standards in photography. When Eugene died in 1978, his work became his memorial as he lived photography all his life. Helmut Newton  Helmut Newton was a German who concentrated on erotically stimulating and influential images of women and also established the use of ring flash in fashion photography. Irving Penn He was famous for fashion photography, portraits and still photography. He worked at Vogue Magazine and in the advertising industry. He is known for his famous quotes such as “photographing a cake can be art” and “Sensitive people faced with the prospect of a camera portrait put on a face they think is one they would like to show the world. Very often what lies behind the façade is rare and more wonderful than the subject knows or dares to believe” Guy Bourdin Guy was a controversial French photographer. He was a celebrated fashion and advertising photographer. His work represented a complex narrative. Henri Cartier -Brenson  Henri is the inventor of “The decisive moment”. The decisive moment is simply that moment when all the accurate essentials of that make a good photograph come together and the photographer is quick enough to take the picture. He was famous for not cropping his images and for taking black and white photographs. Diane Arbus Diane concentrated on taking images of black and white square photographs of unusual and marginalized people such as dwarfs, giants, transgender people, and naked people. She also loved taking pictures of people who seem ugly or strange. Elliot Erwitt He looks at everyday life with humor and this made him an extra ordinary photographer. He was mentored in photography by Edward Steichen, Robert Capa and Roy Stryker. He later became a member of Magnum Photos. His works continue to be listed in Museums in New York, Chicago, Paris, Zurich, London, Sydney, Milan among other parts of the world. Walker Evans  Walker is known for his stylish, cystal-clear photographs. What distinguished Walker is that he was able to see the present as if it were already the past, and to interpret that information and historically changed vision into and enduring work of art. Martin Parr Parr is a British photographer who use intense color to represent his work as art. He is a master of Storyteller of everyday through photography. Juergen Teller Born in German, Teller is a master of autobiographical images in colour. He has done works of fashion and has worked for magazines such as The face, Another magazine, Vogue, Index, W Magazine, Self Service and others. Jurgen has done solo shows of his works. Nick Knight  He is a British fashion photographer and a world’s most influential photographer of his time. Nick has won several awards for his work. David Bailey  David is a fashion photographer who started out as a photographic assistant at the John French Studio way back in 1960. He was later contracted by British Vogue Magazine as a fashion photographer. He was among the first celebrity photographers and therefore found himself becoming a celebrity. David has a number of awards to his name and this has been attributed to the simplicity of his pictures. He is among the few who have an interest in painting. He is based in Glastonbury, Somerset. Cindy Sherman Cindy is a renowned self-portraitist and this has been recognized as a work of art. Her work has been used to bring up challenging yet important questions on the role and representation of women within the society. One interesting thing about Cindy is that she creates her photographs by shooting alone, thereby assuming various roles as the author, director, makeup artist, stylist, wardrobe manager and model. She lives and works in New York. She too is a famous photographer of all time. Andreas Gursky This German photographer is the father of the concept of landscape photography and this has been accepted as a form of art. Andreas made large format landscape photographs. His works have been of great value fetching up to 4.3 million dollars. Edward Weston Edward is famous for experiments which he performed with shape, form and light. He worked with female nudes and this influenced a lot of photographers who came after him. He is known to be one of the most influential American photographer. Garry Winogrand Street photography was a specialization for Garry. He concentrated on social issues during his time. One would say that Garry was a liberal photographer of his time. He worked in New York and in Tijuana, Mexico. Bruce Weber Bruce is an American fashion photographer as well as an occasional filmmaker. He has worked with big brands like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren among others. May Ray May was an excellent fashion and portrait photographer who had special artistic abilities as well as mechanical capabilities. He was also a painter and that gave him an added advantage as a photographer in the early twentieth century.
