Conceptual Photography: Oliver Ojeil

Conceptual photography, hands down, is at the forefront of the artistic picturesque expression. While it sometimes has downsides of the mass market value and financial value, it definitely freshens up the mind and enriches the flavor palette of any tastemaker. Photographer, Film Director and Screenwriter Oliver Ojeil had his take on conceptual photography in stage A, making surreal portraits of Pandora-like multicolor.
Oliver was very kind to share his experience of shooting in our stage:
“The idea behind the shoot was to do some conceptual portraiture and beauty. I love playing around with lights to shape the face highlighting its beautiful lines and popping the eyes out. I also love using strong color tints which has become part of my identity in a way, so I used it here to add further drama to the portrait. As far as emotions, I always try to show passion whether in the gaze, the eyes, or the posture.”
Make sure to check the WEBSITE and INSTAGRAM of PHOTOGRAPHER Oliver Ojeil. He has a lot of amazing photos to show. The HAIR and MAKEUP artist for the session was Danielle Blazer. The MODEL for the shoot was Amanda Thorp. Have a look at her INSTAGRAM.
Stage A, chosen for this shoot, is a modest sized studio, great for a nice and clean high-key look. A long time favorite of our clients, Stage A gets beautiful direct sunlight in the morning through north and east-facing windows, and beautifully soft indirect light as the day goes on. Equipped with all of the same great gear that’s included with all of our studios – strobes, light modifiers, radio trigger, and paper backdrops – it’s a wonderful place to be able to achieve different looks all in the same place. Visit Stage A on our website to learn more.
