Car Turntable Studio Olympic 3
Getting clean, professional car shots in Los Angeles is harder than it sounds. You need a clean background, enough room to move around the vehicle, and a way to capture every angle without resetting your lights for each shot. A motorized turntable solves the last problem completely: the car rotates, your camera stays still, and you get a smooth, consistent arc of angles from a single setup.
FD Photo Studio’s car turntable photo studio with white cyc wall, RGB oberhead lights, and RGB tunnel in Los Angeles Olympic 3 is one of the few rental studios in LA built specifically for car photography. Here’s what’s in it, how to use it for car photography and video, and what else you can shoot there.
Car turntable photo studio with a large white corner cyc wall, overhead RGB lights, vintage TV wall, and RGB LED tunnel in Los Angeles. Olympic 3 is located at 3316 E Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90023.
The 18-foot turntable is big enough to hold a full-size car and rotate it smoothly, with no manual pushing and no wobble mid-spin. Large white cyc wall wraps around the platform to give you a seamless background from every angle the car rotates through. Overhead RGB lights sit above the cyc wall, so you can run a clean white background or shift it to any color without touching a light stand.
The RGB tunnel is a second shooting zone that is easy to access through a drive-in gate. The vintage TV wall is a third backdrop: fill the screens with brand content, city footage, or motion graphics via camcorder provided at the studio or laptop.
On-site gated parking is available at the Olympic location.
Car Turntable photo studio Olympic 3 starts at $44.99 per hour with a one-hour minimum. Choose from 4, 8, or 12-hour discounted packages that give you better rates than booking single hours. Package hours never expire and can be split across multiple shoots.
Included with every rental: three flash units, wireless triggers, c-stands, sandbags, v-flats, a makeup station with mirrors and seating, a sound system, and free WiFi. Seamless paper backdrops are available for an additional price: under 5 feet of usage is $29.99, over 5 feet is $59.99.
Continuous lighting is available for rent. See the full equipment list on the website for all rentable items.
The cyc wall comes as-is. The repaint fee is $100 for a regular repaint, or $150 if you’re bringing a car onto the cyc wall.
Set your camera on a tripod level with the car’s midpoint, lock your exposure, and light the car evenly from both sides using the included flash units and v-flats. Start the rotation and shoot at even intervals as the car turns. The white cyc wall keeps the background identical in every frame, so the set works straight out of camera with minimal masking.

Frame wide enough to keep the car in shot through a full rotation. Set the speed slow enough for a 10–15 second full revolution and lock your white balance to the overhead RGB lights. Add a color wash from the overhead RGBs if you want the background to shift mid-rotation, from deep blue to white, for example, without touching a single light stand.
For the tunnel, pull the car forward until the hood sits just inside the entrance, drop low, and shoot back through it. The symmetrical lights give you even edge lighting on both sides of the car with a vanishing point behind it. For the TV wall, fill the screens with content that matches the car’s identity: a nighttime city loop, a race circuit feed, or a clean brand reel.
The turntable gets the attention, but the studio works well for shoots that have nothing to do with cars.
The large white cyc wall is a clean, high-key backdrop on its own. The overhead RGB lights let you run a warm, neutral, or colored cast over the background without flagging individual lights. The vintage TV wall works for editorial looks and music video scenes where you need variety in a single studio. A performer framed in the RGB tunnel gives you a symmetrical, high-production frame that works immediately for reels and video content.

The large open floor area provides dancers with plenty of room to move through complex choreography. The turntable works as a performance element for rotational movement or spinning reveals. For product work, the cyc wall and overhead RGBs handle tech, footwear, apparel, and accessories the same way they handle cars: clean background, adjustable color, no secondary light setup needed. The turntable also works for rotating product shots for e-commerce listings and social media reels.
