This was a shoot for my Instagram @ice_queen_co I’m into modeling latex.
Shooting with specialty wardrobe like latex requires careful attention to lighting and angles. The material catches light differently than fabric, creating bright spots and reflections that can work for or against you. Natural light from windows helps soften these reflections and gives the material a more natural sheen instead of harsh glare. The key is positioning your subject where the light wraps around them smoothly.
Props like the bathtub and flower wall give you built-in composition elements to work with. Instead of just posing against a blank background, you can use these pieces to frame your subject or add depth to the shot. The trick is making sure the props enhance the model without competing for attention – they should support the image, not steal the show.
