New Valentine's Day Setups in Los Angeles

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, which means it’s the perfect time to plan a romantic photo or video shoot in Los Angeles. We’re excited to introduce our new red and pink fabric backdrop setups, designed to bring a Valentine’s Day feel to your next shoot.

Red Drapes in Sunny Loft

Sunny Loft 5 is located on the 14th floor and gets beautiful afternoon daylight with views of DTLA. The 2,178 sq ft space now features theatre-inspired red drapes (25 ft W × 20 ft L), plus a mattress styled with silky red bed sheets. You can also rent our Aputure spotlight setup with a selection of gobo masks for more control over the light. 

The studio includes our standard grip and lighting equipment—three strobe lights, light modifiers, C-stands, and more—along with lounge furniture and soft pink Valentine’s accents. A makeup station with a vanity mirror and a separate changing room make it easy to shoot multiple looks in one session.

Extra Large Pink Drape 

Studio Yukon 2 has a new extra-large soft pink fabric backdrop (20′ W × 40′ L), just in time for Valentine’s Day shoots. It’s an easy way to add a softer, romantic look to portraits, fashion, and product shots. Turn on the floor fan and the fabric comes to life, giving you movement.

The rest of the studio stays the same and just as versatile, with a white cyc wall, Greek-inspired steps, gray textured wall, and muslin backdrops. The studio includes our standard grip and lighting equipment—three strobe lights, light modifiers, C-stands, and more. A separate makeup room is available as well. Need more lighting options? Join V-day Photo Mixer in DTLA

Join us on Saturday, Feb 7 from 3–6 PM at FD Photo Studio LA Lofts for a Valentine’s Day–themed Photo Mixer. During the event, Sunny Loft with red drapes and the French Loft Apartment will be open to shoot, collaborate and network. 

Tickets are $20 for photographers and $15 for models, with discounted bundle options for groups of 2 or 3, making it a great fit for model + photographer teams.
